Christopher Croteau

Chris Croteau is a partner at TingleMerrett LLP practicing in the areas of corporate securities, corporate finance (debt and equity securities) and corporate transactional law for emerging, growth and mid-cap companies (both public and private). Chris' focus on emerging and growth companies, along with his practice of working closely with the directors and management teams, has given him a great deal of experience in understanding the business and financial realities faced by these kinds of businesses. Chris' extensive experience in all aspects of corporate and commercial law has also enabled him to bring legal and business insight to these matters.

His practice involves providing advice on a range of issues; however, particular emphasis is placed upon advising corporations and groups that finance corporations (including registered dealers) with respect to securities and business law matters. This includes advising on financing options, private equity and public offerings, public listings and exchange matters, corporate acquisitions, share and asset acquisitions and dispositions, restructurings, securities regulatory requirements for issuers and dealers and other related business transactions (including the day to day corporate/commercial requirements a client may have). His clients reflect various industries and include oil and gas, technology, real estate, manufacturing, aerospace, telecommunications and industrial issuers. Chris obtained his law degree (LL.B. 2001) and commerce degree (B.Comm. 1998) from the University of Alberta.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys golf, skiing and hockey. Chris also loves hanging out with his amazing family, working out at the gym and spending time in the mountains.
