ARIANE YOUNG

Ariane Young is a partner at TingleMerrett LLP, having joined the Firm in 2006. She has been practicing law since 1994 in the areas of corporate securities, corporate finance and general corporate commercial transactions. A large portion of Ariane’s legal practice involves emerging issuers that are either planning to list on an exchange or to merge their business with a larger entity.

Ariane has extensive experience in assisting clients with financing, private and public corporate acquisitions and business combinations, cross border transactions, share and asset acquisitions, corporate restructurings, amalgamations, reorganizations, corporate governance and securities compliance. She acts as corporate secretary to a number of her clients, and works closely with the Boards and management of certain clients. Her clients are involved in a variety of business activities, including industrial technology, biotechnology, the cannabis industry, natural health products, software development, medical services, professional services, portfolio management, corporate finance and conventional oil and gas.

Ariane obtained her law degree (LLB) in 1993 from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (Honours) and Political Science from the University of Calgary in 1990. Ariane is an instructor for the annual TSX Venture Success Workshops.

Ariane enjoys yoga, skiing, hiking, horses and spending time with her family (three boys). Other passions which don’t get as much attention include scuba diving, travel, opera and theatre and entertaining friends.
