LAWYERS / CYNTHIA SOLANO

Cynthia is a member of the firm’s Securities and Business Services practice groups. Her business law practice is concentrated in the areas of public and private equity and debt financing, stock exchange listings and related matters. She has capably negotiated and completed numerous mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and other commercial transactions, and her experience includes technology licensing, distribution, acquisitions and divestitures. Cynthia is adept in the efficient management of going-public transactions, securities offerings, whether simple or through prospectuses or offering memoranda, and regularly provides assistance to companies with respect to regulatory compliance, continuous disclosure requirements and corporate governance issues.
In addition to her years of focused corporate experience in private practice, Cynthia was formerly Vice President, Corporate Finance, of a small investment bank and Corporate Counsel and Corporate Secretary of a start-up oil and gas company. Her keen interest and experience with such companies and her years of experience with securities and corporate law enable her to effectively advise corporate clients, particularly development stage companies.
Cynthia holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Calgary in the field of Cellular, Molecular and Microbial Biology. Cynthia is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association and the Calgary Bar Association.
Cynthia is self-proclaimed foodie and a part-time world traveler.
